We have currently partnered with a leading saas company in Dublin who are seeking a VP of Engineering to help lead and scale the engineering function. Leading a division of up 100 engineers. This leadership role will ensure the engineering team delivers high-quality solutions on time, within budget, and in line with the company’s business objectives. The VP will collaborate closely with the CTO, senior leadership, and other departments to align engineering priorities with the broader company vision.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy: Lead the engineering department and develop strategies to ensure the team’s success. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product, Design, and Business teams to set technical priorities and ensure alignment with company goals.
Technology Roadmap: Define and implement the engineering roadmap in alignment with company goals. Evaluate new technologies and methods to keep the company at the forefront of innovation
Team Management: Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of engineering talent. Mentor and manage senior engineering managers and leads to ensure productivity, growth, and a healthy team environment.
Requirements
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
Experience in managing large, complex projects and programs, from inception to successful delivery.
Extensive experience in software development, architecture, and systems design.
